Before the beginning of the Industrial Age when machinery and manufacturing homogenized home building, each element of a house was carefully and thoughtfully handcrafted by master builders, masons and "joyners" to create one-of-a-kind structures. Nowhere is this craft more beautifully protected and preserved than here on the tree-lined streets of Charleston. It is my goal, through my art, to follow the traditions of these craftsmen and help preserve the architectural heritage of this beautiful city.
